We started with a horse named, Nu Profit.  "Luck", as we called him, was by the famous Doc Bar son, Nu Bar, and out of a running bred daughter of Bar Deck.  (The latest "fad" for the big cutting breeders is to add some thoroughbred blood to their programs- we added Nu Profit in 1996!)  Nu Profit’s full sister, Nu Niner Bar, was Reserve Champion of the NCHA Open Futurity and placed third in the NCHA Derby.  She went on to win a World Championship.  There were several other siblings with NCHA earnings and "Luck", himself, was shown on the west coast in working cowhorse and cutting, obtaining AQHA points and earnings in Reined Cowhorse and NCHA.

The next stallion that we used in our program came from the famous T-Cross ranch near Pueblo, CO.  He was a dun son of Doc Tari out of an own daughter of the legendary Tee Cross.  We have three of his daughters in the broodmare band, they are some of our best producers and seem to cross on every horse we've tried them with.

HBD Fourble King was another stallion we really liked.  He's a son of World Champion/Hall of Fame sire, Handle Bar Doc.  His dam was an own daughter of leading broodmare sire, Gay Bar King.    This nice horse lives in Canada with the Blair family now but his bloodlines still influence our program.

 (Circle Cee at 21yrs old)

Circle Cee is an own son of Colonel Freckles that Eddy trained and hauled.  He was a finalist in 5 "State" Cutting Futurities, winning one.  "Freck" is owned by the Botkins' in Valley Falls, KS.  He has been an exceptional all-around sire for a horse that has relatively few offspring.  We appreciate his daughters and have a few of them in our broodmare band also.

Next came a horse named Smart Warotie.  He is by Smart War O Lena, a horse that's done well reining, and working cow- as well as in the World's Greatest Horseman competitions.  His dam is a producing daughter of Doc Quixote.  Smart Warotie- "BOZO" is a really cool little horse that we had for awhile with our friends and partners, the Botkins.

We were fortunate to trade for an old son of Peppy San Badger, named Cracklin Fred.  His dam was also a Gay Bar King daughter.  He was bred and raised by Joe Kirk Fulton and spent his younger days as a ranch sire down there.  When we got him, he was old and crippled up, but a really neat guy.  We have two of his girls here.

Smart Smooth N Easy was an own son of Smart Little Lena out of Smooth As A Cat's dam, that Eddy trained.  He was well on his way to a successful NCHA carreer when he tragically died of a damaged heart valve.  He had been sick as a young horse and the vet attributed this damage to that illness.  This horse was like a big cat, so quick and so smart.  We have one of his daughters that we really like.

After that we were partners for a season on a horse named Bingo's Dually, by Dual Pep, that we bought from the famous Bar H in Texas.  He is a full brother to Dual Pep's highest money earner and is really a nice individual.

Next, came one of our favorites, Little Red Chex.  He was an own son of Smart Little Lena, out of the great mare Docs Kingetta Chex.  We feel very fortunate to have had him, even though it was only for one breeding season.  He was only six years old when we lost him and it was a terrible blow to us.  If all things happen for a reason, that's one that we have to trust that the BIG GUY UPSTAIRS knows more than us!

Presently, we have Major Buccaneer, Honky Tonk CD, Call Me Playgun, and Bearly Missed.  They all have strong pedigrees and different attributes that we hope will take our program forward.  We also utilize and appreciate two horses that belong to good friends:

Candy King Hickory is an own son of Doc's Hickory with NCHA earnings of around $20K.  He's a really talented horse and his foals look like they will be too!

Plenty Poco Sug is a son of Doc's Sug that's produced everything from reiners to cutters to rope horses.  He remained sound enough to show clear into his teens.  At 17 years old, he was shown successfully at the Buckskin World Show in cutting, working cowhorse and roping!  To top that all off, he's a really pretty dun horse that passes on his color and looks!

The mares in our program are all from proven families.  They don’t all have show records, but they DO all have the minds and conformation that it takes to produce tractable, sound, good looking babies

Eddy Domann has been involved in the cutting horse industry for over 35 years and while Deb is newer to the cutting part of it, she has had horses for most of her life.  Eddy and his son, Dean, have owned, trained and shown several Top 10 horses.  This experience is the basis of our operation.

On the breeding end of things, Deb has attended reproductive classes at ISU in Ames, IA and a workshop produced by Equine-Reproduction.com.  Deb's 20+ years of laboratory experience serve us well in our AI work and cooled, shipped semen services.
